Nice review. Have you considered doing some bench marking tests of online backup providers? If so, count us in. We will provide you with our software, docs and support to benchmark it against other online backup providers.
Thanks
Mark

@tomv

It does look promising but Box.net have gone very quite on the Desktop Sync Software. More recently they have been promoting the lite version of Box.net and the Widget aimed at placing files on websites for download.

I am wondering whether they have been having reliability problems with the software as I have had the odd crash with the software. Hopefully though they havent given up all together as clearly this is a usefull feature.

If efficiency, trust and safety are what you are looking for in an online backup service, then IBackup is there for you. IBackup has been recently rated as the ` best all-around backup service’ by PC World.

IBackup for Windows is an application that allows to quickly and safely backup and restore your data with a minimum of fuss. It will do interactive and scheduled backups of your critical files to your online backup account and there are options to just drag and drop files to get it backed up or retrieved.

IDrive is one of their outstanding applications that besides mapping your account as an online account on to your PC will enable you to drag-and-drop files between the online account and your PC. Just move your multimedia files to your IBackup account, create playlists and play them in your favorite media player.

With their `Snapshots’ feature an account holder can see the files stored in his IBackup account during the previous days-something like data history. Webmanager an IBackup user can `privately share’ data instantly with another IBackup user. Web-Manager is a web browser based application for backup and retrieval of data from your online storage account IBackup. With ILite you can access your data stored in IBackup accounts using handhelds like Blackberry, PocketPC and Treo. Try their free trial to know more.
