I have ordered a new joystick from eBay for £2.88, easy enough to replace, following most of the instructions posted above, you get stuck as it's slightly different, follow the many vids on youtube. You just need to make sure you tighten the screw underneath the home button. And make sure you reset the PSP when you're done by pulling out the battery for 10 seconds before putting it back in.
