Microsoft yesterday announced the official Beta 2 release of Internet Explorer 7. The previous release was billed as a preview and according to IEBlog they have fixes and changes have been made based on feedback from the previous releases (including CSS). It looks like another couple of releases to come including Beta 3 before the official release which is likely to coincide with the official launch of Vista to business around November.
For those who haven’t heard, Apple yesterday sensationally announced their Boot Camp software, allowing you to dual boot to Windows XP (Home or Pro). The software is available in beta form at the moment though it is scheduled for an official release in the next version of the next major version of Mac OS X, Leopard.

This would appear to be a much more stable version and they have eliminated the problem with the player continuing to play after right clicking and closing from the taskbar. Updates include;
- Prefs page from mozilla with browser settings
- Some UI fixes
- M4A playback (oops)
- Faster metadata scanning
- More file types (flac/wav)
- Slurping through <embed>

The Energy Blue Theme originally came with Windows Media Center 2005 and then was released as part of an ‘Enhancment Pack’ for Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. This slick and fresh theme has since been made available as a seperate download (one of the Tablet PC’s power toys) from Microsoft, but still no release for XP Home or Pro.
