I don’t mean to be Rude……

Its fair to say that my posts have been becoming les and less frequent in the last couple of weeks. Blogging hasn’t fallen out of favour with me, far from it in fact, its just I have decided to give this site a makeover of epic proportions. Well, a little bit more than a lick of paint anyway and I want to be happy enough with it that I can concentrate on blogging and other commitments in my life. I have got some great ( I hope) posts up my sleeve and I will be going on an all out blog offensive when I go live.

FireFox Flicks Contest – Just Two Days Left

The second annual FireFox Flicks contest, a promo competition for Firefox, has just two days left. The project description is, “Create a 30-second ad, in any style (live action or animated,) that brings Firefox to life for the millions of Web users who have yet to discover Firefox and the better Web experience it delivers”. Unsurprisingly, there is your fair amount of crap but at least there are some talented directors out there who havent yet burnt themsleves out from uninterupted youtube submissions! Just kidding, alongside some blatent ripoff’s, sorry homages, there is some originality on show and its certainly worth checking out.

CL2: Google’s Calender Screens

Michael Arrington has posted some screens and details of the forthcoming calendar web app from Google. CL2, as it looks as though it will be called is clearly moulded in the Gmail format and looks as though existing users will find picking up the product very easy. Its interesting that this product is likely to come out towards the same quarter as Vista’s release which is gonna provide a much improved mail app and calendar built in.

Ebuyer Beta: Preview

I got invited by Dan Dukeson to take a look at the Ebuyer beta site that is open to the public and though a work in progress its interesting to see where they are pushing and improving the ‘public face’ of the company. Ebuyer is an international online retailer specialising in computer and consumer electronics whose products could be considered amongst the most competitively priced. In the last few years they have also vastly improved the customer service regarding returns and should be among the first places to look when upgrading your PC or setting up that home cinema.

Review: Edgeio – Listings from the Edge?

I have been fortunate enough to be playing around with Michael Arrington and Keith Teare’s Edgeio for the last few days and I have to admit I quite like the service. I am rather sceptical about a service that is boldly taking on big players like EBay and Craigslist though they may just gain enough momentum to make this worth while.
