With sessions on IE7, bug hunting, microformats, the future of web apps and much more this years @media looks amazing. To be held in London tomorrow and Friday (15th-16th June), the line up is awesome with the whose who of web design including Andy Budd, Dave Shea, Veerle Pieters, John Hicks with far too many more to mention.
Gutted I can’t go (its sold out now) but hopefully they will make the some of the sessions into podcasts for download afterwards. Pretty please?
Flock, the browser based on Firefox that encompasses all that’s great about the web, has gone beta and is available for download. They have gradually been improving the browser with regular new builds over the last few months and have finally released a beta that is much more stable and feature packed.
Along with the fanfare of the release they have had the website overhauled from what could be described as simple and functional to a site that really does the browser justice. I reviewed one of the early releases here but the changes here make it a worthwhile download again. Watch out for an updated review soon.
There’s a folder in my documents that I regularly access that I wanted listed on my Start Menu. There are other ways of quickly accessing folders or documents such as having quick links on the taskbar or shortcuts on the desktop but the real advantage of this is the keyboard shortcut with the Windows key, the first letter of the folder and the return key.
- Open up regedit from using the run menu.
- Locate ‘HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ Folder\ shellex\ ContextMenuHandlers‘
- Add the following as a subkey: ‘{a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708-a0b2badd77c8}’ (without the quotes!)
- Exit regedit…… (Continued)………
coComment have released an extension that automatically tracks your comments to your account, eliminating 
the need to click on the bookmarklet. Additionally it also notifies you when people have commented on the same posts as you with an icon in the status bar at the bottom of the browser.
This excellent service’s value just keeps increasing in my opinion. Typically with a real sense of community; Amit recently released a Wordpress plugin making it even easier to integrate this service into your blog. Take a look…..
