30Boxes, the quality / free / ajax calendar, has added colour to tags allowing you to browse through your calendar at a glance and see what your up to. Simply click on ‘Find’, then the box next to the tag and select your colour from the palette.
I really like this calendar and it looks as though they are responding well to the recent calendar release from Google. Continually adding features and pushing the functionality, I hope 30Boxes will be around for a while yet.
Apparently genuine according to Ipod Observer, this Microsoft Ipod video originated from their own packaging department! It was made for internal purposes and according to Microsoft spokesman Tom Pilla, was intended, "to humorously highlight the challenges we have faced RE: packaging and to educate marketers here about the pitfalls of packaging/branding"
Whatever the intention, though clearly tongue in cheek it emphasises the polar difference in branding and design these two rival companies employ. It is well worth checking out.
Clockr has really caught my attention recently (I think I am getting a design bug). Its a 24 hour clock that is made in Flash and composed from some bright, bold images found on Flickr. I think its the simplicity of the idea that has really got my interest – download the screensaver if you like it.
