Newshutch.com is Dead, Long Live gReader

So after trying Sage (the excellent Firefox extension addon) many moons ago but concluding RSS readers should be hosted, I went through Rojo, Newsgator, Bloglines and some terrible ones I can’t even remember the name of, but none were what I was looking for. I also tried an early version of Google Reader and for all the good points about it I couldn’t stand the interface.

Get Nik Daum a Publisher

Just a quick note – if ever someone needs to find a publisher its this guy. Check out Nik Daum’s ‘dordles‘ (not quite drawings/not quite doodles) and be pleasantly entertained by his fantastic art and wicked sense of humour.

He is currently looking for a publisher and I am looking for books for my coffee table so if you know one, help me and him out!

Last.fm on Vista (no longer requires adminstrator rights)

Since upgrading to Vista, around about the time it was released, I am proud to say that I am one of the few who has been very happy with the experience. I am a sucker for shiny things and like virtually all the features they have introduced – lets face it XP felt like an ancient OS when looking and using a Mac. Further everything that I can’t live without works fine in Vista or there is a Vista compatible version.

Lost In Time

For want of a much better title, it looks like 3 months have passed since I last updated this blog. It doesn’t feel like three months but I seem to have replaced one love (blogging) with a profession (web design) and the free time that I used for benbishop.me.uk has been swallowed up by browser bugs, wordpress plugins and myspace (argh!) nuances.
